Please look for Trimester 2 portfolios (large manila envelopes) coming home today. These portfolios contain math, reading, writing, and social studies portfolios, as well as most of the tests and/or scores from last trimester. The top item in the portfolio should be Trimester 2 art, in which they summarized their accomplishments and challenges from this trimester, as well as their goals for the remainder of 4th grade. Be sure to take a look at all their hard work, and talk to your student about what they are most proud of and what they'd like to improve on!

Hello from the music room. You are invited to our upcoming 4th Grade Concert on March 29th! It will be a great show, full of songs, games, and instruments too! Join us and celebrate all the music making that has been happening this year. Students should arrive at 6:45pm dressed nicely. The show, which will last about 40 minutes, will begin at 7:00pm. Reading Genre Study for March - Newbery Book Report: Examples of finished projects can be seen on the project page of the 4th grade website. Students should be bringing their Newbery book and packet back to school every day, in case we have class time they can use to work on it.
March volunteer calendar: attached to this week's email. Thanks again for all you do to support our class's learning - we couldn't do it without you!!! Please let me know if this time doesn't work.
Coming Up This Week in Class: We are continuing work on Math Topic 13 (fractions and mixed numbers), writing rough drafts of a research writing report about animals, exploring art and poetry about St. Patrick's Day, and starting our social studies / reading Unit on Lewis and Clark!
