It is a much appreciated replacement for my rusted-out old one, and the gift card to the nursery will certainly be put to good use! I feel lucky to have had the chance to work with such a great learning team of students and parents this year! Dear 4th Grade Families,
Thank you again for all of your support from home for 4th grade learning and growth in our classroom this year. In our end of the year reflections in class, we've been talking about just how much progress they have made as well as looking toward the future! I'm so proud of how much every student in my class has accomplished this year, and hope you take this end-of-the-year opportunity to let them know that you are proud of them as well. Note: Monday folders are coming home today for the final time - they do not need to be returned tomorrow! Review and keep at home: Math facts and mad minutes, Puzzles of the Day, Timelines, Silhouette art, Math practice with effort scores TuesdaTrimester work/test envelopes will be coming home tomorrow (Tuesday). Note from the Computer Lab: Hi Parents, Would you like to see your student’s typing skills improve over the summer? We have been working on “All the Right Type” this year. It is a keyboarding program that tracks your student’s progress and gradually accelerates their words per minute and accuracy. They eventually learn all of the keys on the keyboard. You can access this great program that the district has bought for our students to use by clicking on this direct link http://www.atrtonline.com/login/index_usawasd410284.php You can also access it from the CVES Computer Lab website under keyboarding http://cvescomputerlab.weebly.com/ Your student will log on with their computer lab password. Bring your backpack and binder tomorrow (we'll be cleaning out desks). We had a fabulously fun day of learning at the Pacific Science Center last week. Students enjoyed a presentation on The Sky Tonight at the planetarium and interacted with the Wellbody exhibit to learn about health and nutrition. Most student groups found time to visit the butterfly house, explore the tidepool touch tanks, take in a live show on Combustion, and much more! Dear 4th Grade Families,

At-Home Reading: Students should be reading 20 minutes a night. Monthly reading logs should stay in students' binders, and will be checked every Tuesday. Two nights a week students may use Lexia as their 20 minutes of reading. Archives
