Great work 4th graders! Many students are already finished with 1st Trimester math facts! Dear fourth grade families,
your students are working very hard as we approach the end of 1st trimester. Give them a pat on the back for all of their effort and the learning they have accomplished so far this year! This week's goal: Treat science creatures with respect and kindness Some items in tonight's Monday take-home folder: Sign and return: Weekly Update, Reading Log (in binder) Review and keep at home: Language packet, Fall Harvest Invitation and Volunteer signup, PTSA Enrichment schedule Veteran’s Day: In preparation for our Veterans' Day Assembly, please let us know the names of veterans in your family. We would ike to feature their names on large banners so that we can show our students just how many veterans touch us directly. We hope to honor their service by recognizing them on that day. Important Dates: 10/25 Fall Festival (PTSA) 10/30 Mystery Book Report due 11/11 No School - Veterans Day 11/15 Last day of the 1st Trimester 11/21 Individual Picture Re-takes 11/22-27 Parent Conferences 11/28-29 No School - Thanksgiving Holiday Coming Up This Week in Class: We'll be starting our own Titanic stories, conferencing and scoring the message in a bottle stories, finishing Math Topic 3, identifying and writing similes and metaphors, creating simile and metaphor art, and exploring ecosystems by reading, writing, drawing, and making observations of our science creatures!
