Students continue to travel along with Lewis & Clark's Voyage of Discovery. They pretended to be Thomas Jefferson writing a persuasive letter to Congress asking for funding, created labeled illustrations of the Corp's custom-build keelboat, and gave extra-credit presentations on the supplies chosen for the journey. Student work is displayed on the wall outside the computer lab - stop by and take a look if you're in the building!
Hello Fourth Grade Families,
The Spelling Bee starts at lunch tomorrow. Participating students need to bring a sack lunch (please do not buy lunch on spelling bee days). Thanks! Valentine’s Day will be celebrated on Thursday, 2/14 in Room 14. All students will have a Valentine’s mail sack/bag made and decorated at school. Due to food allergies and dietary restrictions, we would like to suggest that no candy be distributed at school with student cards. The mystery word is encounter. Any candy on cards will NOT be opened at school; it will be sent home. More information will be sent home in next week’s take home folder and newsletter. Thanks! We will have a low key celebration that afternoon with a healthy snack of red and pink fruits and some activities.
