Last week students wrote limericks and sense poems in honor of St. Patrick's Day. With their poetic silliness, rich descriptive words, and themed illustrations, fourth graders created some entertaining pieces! | |

Reading Genre Study for March - Newbery Book Report: Examples of finished projects can be seen on the project page of the 4th grade website. Students should be bringing their Newbery book and packet back to school every day, in case we have class time they can use to work on it.
March volunteer calendar: attached to this week's email. Thanks again for all you do to support our class's learning - we couldn't do it without you!!! Please let me know if this time doesn't work.
Coming Up This Week in Class: We finishing Math Topic 13 (fractions and decimals), writing, revising, and illustrating a research writing report about animals, continuing our social studies / reading Unit on Lewis and Clark, celebrating 2nd trimester success with a Thursday assembly, and dressing up for spirit week! The mystery word is exploration.
