Students completed a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) design challenge last week by designing and building "rescue vehicles" as the culminating project for our map skills unit. They had to consider numerous challenges in their plan, such as purpose of the mission, weather, mobility, terrain, and vegetation. Finally, their vehicles had to survive a drop challenge to prove durability. Students worked enthusiastically on the challenge with their teams, and all vehicles survived the drop (mostly) intact! | |
A huge thanks to all of our wonderful Walkathon volunteers! The kids had an amazing morning of running, walking, and dancing around the field! This week even more volunteers will be hard at work adding up the donations and producing the tickets for the kids' prize entries. Thanks PTSA, and thank you volunteers!
