WACKY WEDNESDAY is this week!
In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America we are having a CVES Wacky Wednesday on March 11th. Students and staff are invited to dress up in wacky fashion and bring their favorite Dr. Seuss books and other reading material. The mystery word is: exploration. No hats please – Dr. Seuss hats are acceptable.
YES: layered clothes, mismatched clothes, jewelry, socks or shoes, wild colors! Crazy hair or Dr. Seuss hats!
NO: colored hair, hats, backward pants, face paint, or costumes
Some items in this Monday's take-home folder:
Sign and return: teacher-assessed updates, March Reading Logs (in binders)
Review and keep at home: Math fact tests, Math practice pages (varies by walk-to-math class), science and social studies work pages, self portraits
Our goal for the week: "Memorize the customary units of measure."
Newbery Book Report: Students will read a Newbery Award winning (or nominated) book and create a new book jacket for it. Students have all had their books approved, and will receive their "book jacket" upon completion / teacher approval of the packet. The final book jacket is due April 2.
