| Students created Spooky Symmetry Art to learn about lines of symmetry and positive and negative space, and wrote and illustrated Spooky Similes. |
Thanks so much to all who donated snacks and supplies for last Friday's low-key harvest celebration. We had a wonderfully pink day in 4th grade!
Our goal this week: "Study for the science test on Thursday."
Some items in this Monday's take-home folder:
Sign and return: Weekly Update, November Reading Log (in binders), October Reading Log, math fact update page, Math tests and Homework calendars (for Ms. Larson's Math Class)
Review and keep at home: Math fact tests, Math practice pages (varies by walk-to-math class), spooky simile rough draft, Art portfolios from art specialist class, Spooky Symmetry Art, their/there/they're practice page
Please Vote! Ballots must be postmarked by November 4th! Later this year, we'll be studying civics and government in social studies. Please take this opportunity to talk about voting with your child - some of the key concepts we'll be discussing are the responsibility of citizens to be informed (show them your voter's pamphlet!) and to take part in our democracy by voting.
DRAFT Conference Schedule: Please check your time on the conference schedule attached to this week's email, and let me know if you need any changes! If you have not yet scheduled a time, let me know which of the empty conference times will work for you. Thank you!
