| Students have been working hard on the revision process in writing and in art. Last week they shared rough drafts of their crayfish illustrations in small groups and gave/received specific advice on how the drawings could be improved. Students then went back and completed a second (or third draft) and made impressive improvements. (1st drafts on the left, revised drawings on the right) |

Mystery Book Report: Mystery books and packets should be coming back and forth to school every day. Time is occasionally given in class for this work, and students miss out when they forget their book or packet! This is primarily an at-home project - please check in with your child on their progress. Finished reports are due this Thursday and will be shared in small groups on Friday!
Attendance Hotline: If your child will be missing school or tardy for any reason, please be sure to call the attendance hotline: 425-831-4108 Due to changes in the district's policy, if a student is absent and the attendance line has not been called, our school secretaries are required to call all the emergency contact numbers in that student's file until they can find a reason for the absence. Please call the attendance line!
