I'm wishing everyone a holiday break filled with relaxation, quality time, and enjoyable activities!
No update during this coming week!
Our goal this week: Be a patient, cooperative group member as we build our coast ecosystem and village!
Some items in this Monday's take-home folder:
Sign and return: Pink weekly update (from last week)
Review and keep at home: box tops information and page, math fact tests, Titanic writing and art, science review, science quiz, math practice pages, 20 minutes / 20 days letters
Fantasy Book Report: An online copy of the packet, more information, and examples can be found on the project page of this website. Students should be finishing their books this week! Gravy group members are required to complete a short, additional writing piece. Directions for this are located in the back of the regular packet. This writing is optional for all other students.
CVES on the Web: Follow us on Twitter @CVES_cubs and Facebook www.facebook.com/CascadeViewES for the latest updates and photos of what’s happening at CVES!
Needed: White buttons (any size) for our Native American button blanket craft; every button counts so even if you just find one, please send it in! Thanks!
Important Dates:
12/20 Pajama and movie day - great work reaching 100 cub cards!
12/18 Fantasy map due date
12/23-1/3 No school - holiday break
1/6 Classes resume
Coming Up This Week in Class: We are finishing and testing on our Math Topic 6 and parts of 7 on Multiplication (including multi-step problem solving and too little / too much information problem solving), starting our Storypath on the Northwest Coast Native Americans, making winter crafts to share with families, and celebrating 100 cub cards with a cozy PJ and movie day on Friday!
With thanks,
Emily Larson
