Our goal this week: Finish my Cinderella book to share with my buddy on Friday.
Some items in this Monday's take-home folder:
Sign and return: In-house field trip permission forms, (No update to sign!), November and December Reading Logs (in binder)
Review and keep at home: Cinderella setting comparisons, math practice pages, grateful family simile art
WA Topo Map: Our WA Topo map Gravy Group / Extra Credit project is required for Gravy Group students, and optional for all other students. A rough draft was done together in class. Student hands should be doing the
work, and parent help/support is encouraged! Due (tomorrow) December 3rd.
Fantasy Book Report: Students have been picking out fantasy books to read in December. I have encouraged them to choose shorter books in order to finish their reports by December 18th. An online copy of the packet, more information, and examples can be found on the project page of this website. Gravy group members are required to complete a short, additional writing piece. Directions for this are located in the back of the regular packet. This writing is optional for all other students.
Cultural Heritage Night: December 13th 5:30-7:30 in the MPR. Cultural Crafts, Dancing and More! Everyone can participate! Suggestions for a variety of ways your family/student can participate are included in the Word document at the top of this week's website post and attached to this week's email. The deadline for participation slips is December 11th.
Surveys: Thank you for filling out the blue survey and dropping it in the box outside the main office. If I forgot to give you one, please let me know and I can send a replacement home. We appreciate your feedback!
Lost and Found: Please check the lost and found area in the main corridor. It is overflowing!
CVES Holiday Giving Campaign: “One Voice, Respectful Giving Project” serving our local Snoqualmie Valley families in need has started! Donations are being collected until Dec 9. Our class has been asked to focus on boots and winter clothing. All students are encouraged to donate gift cards, new and unwrapped toys, and non-perishable food items. Please join us as we spread holiday cheer and compassion to our needy Valley families. Thanks so much for your support.
