This week we'll be adding to the Pacific Northwest Coast setting the students created before break. We're building a village and writing our "characters" into the story! Happy New Year, Fourth Grade Families!
Our goal this week: Get back into the swing of things with expected 4th grade behaviors. Some items in this Monday's take-home folder: Sign and return: Math test scores (for students in Ms. Larson's math class) Review and keep at home: Math practice packets with effort scores, Language packets, Language quizes Needed: White buttons (any size) for our Native American button blanket craft; every button counts so even if you just find one, please send it in! Thanks! Newbery Book Report: An online copy of the packet, more information, and examples can be found on the project page of this website. Students should be picking their books this week! Gravy group members are required to complete the extra portion in the back of the packet. CVES on the Web: Follow us on Twitter @CVES_cubs and Facebook www.facebook.com/CascadeViewES for the latest updates and photos of what’s happening at CVES! Important Dates: 1/20 No School - MLK Holiday Coming Up This Week in Class: We are working on Math Topic 8 with two-digit x two-digit and two-digit x three-digit multiplication, continuing our Storypath on the Northwest Coast Native Americans, learning to write well-supported opinions, and continuing our Native American "walk-to-reading" Novel Studies!
