If you were unable to view your child's report card last week due to the viewing problem, the district has fixed the glitch and all report cards should be available for viewing! Students worked hard last trimester and I'm so proud of all their progress and accomplishments!
Some items in this Monday's take-home folder:
Sign and return: self-assessed updates, March Reading Logs (in binders)
Review and keep at home: Math fact tests, Math practice pages (varies by walk-to-math class), camp invention information forms
Our goal for the week: "I will use my revision checklist to improve my research writing."
Newbery Book Report: Students should be finishing up their Newbery Award winning (or nominated) books, getting their packets approved, and receiving their book jackets by the end of this week. The mystery word is: corps (and today we learned how to pronounce it!). The final book jacket is due April 2.
Units of Measure: Students in Mrs. Bernardo's and Mrs. Heinz-Betts's math classes are working hard to memorize and use different units of measure. The study page is above and attached to this week's email.
Smarter Balanced Assessment/Common Core State Standards: A letter from the principal about upcoming assessments is above and attached to this week's email.
March volunteer calendar: is attached to this week's email. Please let me know if you need any adjustments or can't be here on your day. Thanks again for all you do to support our class's learning - we couldn't do it without you!!!
