Hydroelectricity Learning: Last Friday, we were treated to a lesson on hydroelectricity by Andy Strong, who works for Seattle City Light and has a student in our class. Thanks so much for sharing your time and knowledge, Mr. Strong! This was a great addition to the science learning in our recent electricity unit. Presentation on Fire Safety: Don’t be surprised if your children start talking about fire safety, smoke detectors, and escape routes because Mr. Cronin (firefighter husband of 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Cronin) will visit us on Thursday to complement the “Wild Fires” reading selection in our textbooks. He will provide a lot of valuable information and suit up in all his gear.
