Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break!
Some items in this Monday's take-home folder:
Sign and return: teacher-assessed updates, February Reading Logs (in binders), electricity science tests, Larson math tests, Larson reading tests
Review and keep at home: Math fact tests, Math practice pages (varies by walk-to-math class), art projects
Our goal for the week: "Use details and examples to support my opinion in writing."
Ice Cream Party : There are still spots available for the Ice Cream Party with the 4th Grade Teachers! Join the 4th grade teachers for an afternoon filled with fun and games...and ice cream! The first twelve students to purchase a ticket will get to attend a party with Ms. Bernardo, Mrs. Cronin, Mrs. Heinz-Betts and Ms. Larson after school, from 3pm - 3:45 pm. Date: to be determined.
Family Rock Climbing! The family rock climbing trip is also still open for bidding! If you or your children have ever wanted to try outdoor rock climbing, bid on this experience…it will be amazing and unforgettable! No experience necessary, no gear required. This experience is hosted by Heather Kern, our school counselor, who has over two decades of climbing experience and loves to ‘show people the ropes’. She has taught many beginners, talked them through their fear, and watched them smile as they completed their first rock climb. Parents, if you are unsure about climbing but your kids are excited, this event could be an opportunity for your kids to climb while you watch, snap photos, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Climbing would occur at Exit 38 on some very easy, beginner routes, accessed via a 10-15 minute easy approach hike. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience, right in your backyard!”
